Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Mcdonel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Remember the Name. On his way into the cage it seems that Shaun Jackson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Shaun Jackson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Mcdonel slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Mcdonel wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Mcdonel keeps moving.
Jackson prevents Mcdonel from getting back to his feet.
Mcdonel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jackson trying to control but Mcdonel is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Shaun Jackson just wasn't active enough.
Mcdonel darts in trying to clinch

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mcdonel won't be happy with that.

Jackson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Mcdonel sneaks back into half guard.
It looks like Jackson is going to stand back up.
Mcdonel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
Mcdonel misses with punches from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcdonel struggling to keep hold of the position.
Mcdonel misses with an elbow to the head.
Mcdonel throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Mcdonel is looking to control Jackson but Jackson is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Even with his hooks in, Mcdonel manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Mcdonel has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Jackson! Can he survive? No! He's out! Mcdonel gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
