Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcelo Santos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Rong counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rong.

Santos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rong is aware though and is defending well.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Santos has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Rong doesn't defend quickly enough and Santos has managed to lock this one up! Can Rong escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Santos on a fantastic submission victory.
