Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob Hick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman comes to the ring accompanied by Metallica - Fuel. Hammer Coleman had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hammer Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Bob Hick!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Hick. No joy for Coleman on that attempt.

Coleman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hammer Coleman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Coleman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hick avoids it really well and circles away.
No joy there for Hick, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Coleman is looking to work some ground and pound but Hick has wrist control.

Hick pushes Coleman off and gets back to his feet.
Coleman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Coleman has managed to clinch.
Coleman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hick pulls his leg out and moves away.
Coleman has a takedown stuffed.
Coleman is breathing heavily.

Coleman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hick is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Hick is trying to control Coleman's posture but Coleman avoids it.
Hick wants to get back to his feet but Coleman drags him back down.
Coleman wants to control but Hick is keeping him busy.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hick wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee asks Coleman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Coleman prefers to stall for the moment though.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
