The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Silva gets a takedown into half guard.
Snatcher is looking to control De Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snatcher avoid being mounted?
De Silva throwing shots but Snatcher is blocking nicely.

De Silva is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
De Silva stalling away here and it's allowed Snatcher to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snatcher looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

De Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Snatcher is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Snatcher has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snatcher drops back, looking for a kneebar! De Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. De Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from De Silva!

De Silva stands up from Snatcher's guard - De Silva perhaps looking for a knockout.

De Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Snatcher to the mat! Snatcher manages to get full guard.

Snatcher is pushing down on De Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. De Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Snatcher has managed to sneak the leg through.

Snatcher uses his free foot to push down on De Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Silva.

Snatcher is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but De Silva is surviving well by controlling Snatcher's body position as best he can.
Snatcher lands with some vicious ground and pound - can De Silva hang on?

That's time! Snatcher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Snatcher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

De Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Snatcher to the mat! Snatcher manages to get full guard.

Snatcher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for De Silva!

Snatcher is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Snatcher lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

De Silva is in a horrible position here. Snatcher smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Snatcher is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. De Silva can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
De Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Snatcher cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Snatcher swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and De Silva is now in Snatcher's guard. A big mistake from Snatcher there, giving up the dominant position!
Snatcher wants to sweep here but De Silva controlling him for the moment.
Snatcher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Snatcher is keen to just control but De Silva is a slippery customer.

Snatcher throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. De Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Snatcher is in De Silva's guard.
De Silva wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Snatcher is now in half guard.

Snatcher thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
De Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Snatcher goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, De Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Snatcher but great work by De Silva.

De Silva is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Snatcher.
