Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darvin Chillingsworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heath Legg!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Legg scores a takedown into full mount!

Legg looking to control but Chillingsworth is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chillingsworth is looking for a kimura but Legg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chillingsworth to get the leverage.
Legg is looking to control Chillingsworth's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Legg avoid being mounted?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Legg is staying active underneath Chillingsworth, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Legg lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Chillingsworth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Legg was well out of range. Poor timing from Chillingsworth.

and Chillingsworth counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Legg is trying to maintain the position but Chillingsworth is very close to passing his half guard.
Legg works his way to full guard. Good work.
Legg wants to sweep here but Chillingsworth controlling him for the moment.

Chillingsworth decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Legg tries to sprawl but Chillingsworth drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Legg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Legg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Legg looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Chillingsworth trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Legg manages to pass to mount!
Chillingsworth is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Chillingsworth wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Legg.
Chillingsworth tries to lock up and control but Legg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Legg looking to secure an arm triangle but Chillingsworth defends it well.
Chillingsworth is squirming around, avoiding Legg's attempts to control the action.

Legg swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Chillingsworth is now in Legg's guard. A big mistake from Legg there, giving up the dominant position!

Chillingsworth drops back, looking for a kneebar! Legg looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Legg looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Legg!
Chillingsworth manages to work his way to half guard, despite Legg's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darvin Chillingsworth will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Legg moves in looking to clinch but Chillingsworth pushes him off.

No joy there for Chillingsworth, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Legg utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Legg is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Chillingsworth to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chillingsworth shrugs it off.
Chillingsworth holds on for dear life, controlling Legg's posture momentarily.

I would just about give that final round to Heath Legg.
I think Chillingsworth has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
