PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Adrianzen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rasul Agaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Adrianzen tenderised Agaev's leg. Agaev is trying to keep his angry face on.

Agaev drives through with a takedown into guard.

Agaev decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Agaev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Agaev wants to get up but he can't break Adrianzen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rasul Agaev was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The fighters circle momentarily. Agaev darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Agaev shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Agaev was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Agaev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Agaev throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Adrianzen because Agaev loaded up on that one.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Agaev trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Agaev has hold of Adrianzen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Adrianzen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Agaev thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Good leg kick by Adrianzen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rasul Agaev hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
