Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leif Nygard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nygard comes to the cage accompanied by Dread Zeppelin - Immigrant Song. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses with a right hand
and Nygard counters with a good, hard body kick but Morgan shrugs it off.
Nygard throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Nygard connects with a crisp jab.
Morgan cracks a nice hook into Nygard's ribs.
Nygard connects with an inside leg kick.

Nygard stuns Morgan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Nygard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morgan was well out of range. Poor timing from Nygard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morgan wants to clinch but Nygard slips to the side
and Morgan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Morgan might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Nygard has got the better of the exchanges.

Nygard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Nygard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Morgan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nygard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Morgan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Morgan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nygard counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Morgan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nygard - the referee stops the clock and Morgan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nygard. Morgan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Nygard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Morgan's knee momentarily.
Morgan has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Nygard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nygard tests Morgan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Morgan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nygard.

Morgan moves in looking to clinch but Nygard pushes him off.

Morgan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nygard's head backwards.
Morgan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nygard makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nygard throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
