The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alexander has closed the distance and engaged Nawalony in a clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Nawalony has eaten all the pies!

Alexander is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nawalony is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Alexander to the mat. Alexander regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Nawalony decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

It looks like Nawalony might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nawalony connects with a nice short shot to Alexander's temple.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nawalony feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
