Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy The Crocodile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silla Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen CANON in D Korean Version (with gayageum) as his entrance music. Jimmy The Crocodile has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy The Crocodile!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Silla Kim!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Crocodile takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jimmy The Crocodile seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kim moves away from the strike by The Crocodile.
Kim tries to land a front kick but The Crocodile steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The Crocodile avoids a kick to the body.
Kim lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The Crocodile throws a sloppy head kick and Kim moves out of range easily.
The Crocodile bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kim finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Kim counters with a good, hard body kick but The Crocodile shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kim tries to clinch but The Crocodile is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kim is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The Crocodile is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The Crocodile pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Kim blocks an elbow strike.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silla Kim dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kim throws a body kick that misses.
Kim moves to clinch but The Crocodile breaks away
and The Crocodile counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! The Crocodile crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kim - the referee stops the clock and The Crocodile gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kim. The Crocodile manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The Crocodile loads up on a big right hand but Kim slips the punch.
The Crocodile fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kim has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kim postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Crocodile is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kim, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kim is looking for a triangle but The Crocodile pushes his legs off easily.
The Crocodile wants to stand but Kim has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kim is on top in guard.

Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but The Crocodile is retaining full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kim accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The Crocodile is staying active underneath Kim, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silla Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Kim counters with a body kick that stops The Crocodile in his tracks momentarily.

Kim tests The Crocodile's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The Crocodile thuds his shin into the meat of Kim's side.
The Crocodile walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kim.
Kim throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jimmy The Crocodile is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The Crocodile keeps the fight on the outside.
Kim wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kim slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
No luck for Kim with that takedown attempt.

Kim lets loose with a powerful body kick. The Crocodile will feel that in the morning.
The Crocodile sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kim misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Kim counters with a low kick, right behind The Crocodile 's knee.

Kim is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Silla Kim is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Kim looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Crocodile is squirming around, avoiding Kim's attempts to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Silla Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
