Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rak Thamarak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takesho Lau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rak Thamarak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takesho Lau!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lau has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Thamarak finds it's way round the side to connect with Lau's head.
Lau bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Thamarak lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lau at a distance.
Lau avoids the head kick by Thamarak.
Thamarak swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lau pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lau tries a head kick but it misses.
Thamarak lands a head kick!
Lau throws a lazy head kick
and Thamarak counters with an outside leg kick.
Thamarak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Thamarak throws a head kick that misses
and Lau counters by clinching up.
Thamarak has had enough of the clinch but Lau keeps him there for the moment.
Lau pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Thamarak comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lau on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Thamarak connects with a body shot that sends Lau's belly button to the back.
Lau falls off balance throwing a combination
and Thamarak counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Thamarak throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rak Thamarak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lau throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thamarak's waist but Thamarak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lau off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lau looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thamarak lands a high kick!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lau clinches.
Lau tries to pull guard but Thamarak won't allow it.
Lau misses with an elbow over the top.
Lau stalling against the cage.
Lau has Thamarak pressed against the cage, preventing Thamarak from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lau's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thamarak throws a head kick that misses
and Lau counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lau forces Thamarak back against the cage and clinches.
Knees to the body from Lau.
Lau is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Thamarak pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rak Thamarak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takesho Lau.
Lau gets control of Thamarak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lau will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Thamarak wants to get up but he can't break Lau's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Lau had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thamarak defends it easily.
Lau looks gassed!

Thamarak decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lau shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thamarak as he avoids it easily.
Lau misses with a double jab
and Thamarak makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lau has a takedown stuffed.
Thamarak lands with a straight right. Lau didn't see that one coming.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thamarak, right into the meat.
Lau showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thamarak.
Danga de danga de dang - Thamarak scores with a four punch combination!
Thamarak with a body punch. A glancing blow.
No joy there for Thamarak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Thamarak lands a really nice looking cross but Lau seems unphased.
Thamarak throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Thamarak cracks a nice hook into Lau's ribs.
Thamarak connects with a looping right hand.
Thamarak with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lau has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Thamarak bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Thamarak lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Thamarak works over Lau's head and body with a nice combination.
That kick from Thamarak tenderised Lau's leg. Lau is trying to keep his angry face on.

Lau is rocked!
Thamarak lands a lovely overhand right.
Lau is still on wobbly legs! Can Thamarak finish him?
Thamarak lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Lau can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Thamarak and Lau drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Thamarak.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rak Thamarak!
