Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sd Plissken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armas Kuusisto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kuusisto's choice of entrance music: System of a down - Chop Suey. The key to victory for Sd Plissken has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Armas Kuusisto!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Plissken closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kuusisto did well to prevent Plissken getting side control.
Plissken wants to stand up but Kuusisto has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Kuusisto is looking for a sweep. Plissken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Plissken thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kuusisto's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kuusisto connects with a nice short shot to Plissken's temple.

Plissken bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kuusisto's head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kuusisto enables Plissken to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kuusisto manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well Kuusisto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
