Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dan Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takehide Nakatani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinn comes to the cage accompanied by BRANDED by Faces Of Mars. Takehide Nakatani struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nakatani.

Quinn rushes Nakatani and presses him up against the cage.
Quinn lands a knee to the head.
Nakatani looking for a takedown.
Nakatani drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Quinn gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Quinn lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nakatani or not.
Nakatani looks gassed!
Quinn stops a takedown attempt from Nakatani.
Dan Quinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takehide Nakatani.
Quinn connects with a knee to the head.

Quinn manages to break the clinch.

Quinn clinches up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Quinn.
Quinn lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Quinn lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Quinn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Quinn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nakatani defends well.
Quinn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quinn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nakatani can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Quinn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakatani is looking to advance position but Quinn won't allow it.

Quinn defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Nakatani.

Nakatani working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Nakatani goes for an armbar but Quinn turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Quinn.
Quinn with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Quinn slips nicely into half guard.
Quinn frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Quinn is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Quinn extends the arm and Nakatani is forced to tap!
