Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franz Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominick Napolitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ritter comes to the cage accompanied by All Along The Watchtower. Napolitano is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Johnny Cash - The Man Comes Around. Franz Ritter had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napolitano swats away the attempt to clinch by Ritter.
Ritter misses with a takedown
and Napolitano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Napolitano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ritter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Napolitano.
Napolitano tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ritter swivels and escapes.

and Ritter counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Ritter wants to clinch.
Ritter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Napolitano as he jumps to the side.
Napolitano throws a right hand that misses

and Ritter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ritter.
Ritter lands a body punch in the clinch.
Ritter is looking to break free of the clinch but Napolitano has double underhooks.
Ritter drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Napolitano gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Napolitano misses with a punch on the inside.
Napolitano tries to circle away but Ritter has him pinned against the cage.
Napolitano tries a body shot but Ritter blocks it.

Ritter on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ritter throws a punch but it's blocked by Napolitano.
Napolitano wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Napolitano is trying to break the clinch but Ritter is controlling him.

Ritter breaks the clinch.
Ritter takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ritter stuffs the takedown.
Ritter moves out of range of the strikes.
Napolitano misses with a wild body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Napolitano. Ritter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Napolitano scores with the left hand. Ritter knows he should have avoided that one.
Ritter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Napolitano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ritter tries to avoid it but Napolitano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ritter to the ground. Ritter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ritter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Ritter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Ritter fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franz Ritter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ritter manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Napolitano on his heels. He'll look to pass Napolitano's guard now, I'm sure.
Dominick Napolitano has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ritter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Napolitano for as long as he can get away with.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ritter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
