Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tank Lockey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Starnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockey throws a lazy right hand but Starnes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lockey.

It looks like Leonard Starnes has been cut.
Lockey doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Starnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Starnes lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Starnes takes one to the side of the head.
Starnes looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Lockey doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Starnes counters with a left to the body.
Starnes feints a jab promting Lockey to slip. Starnes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lockey slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Lockey tries for a takedown but Starnes circles away easily
and Starnes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tank Lockey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lockey is breathing heavily.
Starnes misses with a body shot.

Lockey takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lockey with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Starnes to score with a decent uppercut.
Starnes scores with a hook to the body. Lockey takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lockey tries to move into range but Starnes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Starnes scores with a jab. Lockey acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Lockey takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Starnes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Starnes lunges at Lockey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lockey's hand.

Starnes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Starnes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lockey doesn't seem bothered though.

Starnes throws a right and a left that Lockey avoids nicely.
Starnes closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Starnes misses with a series of wild punches.
Lockey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Starnes is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lockey rather than just go for the knockout.

and Starnes counters with a crisp one two that drops Lockey! Starnes thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lockey to his feet! Lockey is in big trouble!

Starnes lands a left and a right that send Lockey crashing to the mat, dazed. Starnes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lockey is rocked!
Starnes jabs Lockey to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Leonard Starnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Starnes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Oooooh!!! Starnes has knocked Lockey down with a huge combo! Starnes steps away and waves a wobbly Lockey back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Lockey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lockey leaves his chin hanging out and Starnes seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lockey crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
