The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zordick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Zordick trying to control but Suruviesti is working from the bottom.

Zordick thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Suruviesti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zordick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zordick wants to pass the guard but Suruviesti is keeping the position.
Suruviesti keeping moving, preventing Zordick from controlling successfully.

Zordick is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zordick slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Suruviesti is not content to let Zordick control the position.
Suruviesti is looking to reverse the position.

Zordick is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Suruviesti looks calm but he's in trouble here. Zordick gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Suruviesti is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Zordick lets go of the hold and Suruviesti can pop his arm back in it's socket.
