And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Raul Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sanchez counters with a three punch combo that has King backing up. King nods at Sanchez to acknowledge the strikes.
King misses with a hook. Sanchez ducked under it nicely.
Sanchez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
King uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sanchez.
King tries to clinch up
and Sanchez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
King swings widly with a right hand
and Sanchez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
King punishes Sanchez's body with a nice straight punch.
King misses with a hook
and Sanchez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sanchez thows a body shot but no joy.
King throws a combination that misses
letting Sanchez counter with a right hand.
Nice jab there from Sanchez.

Sloppy strikes from Sanchez. Those never looked like landing.
Sanchez misses with a jab to the body

and King holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sanchez lands a left hand that snaps the head of King backwards.
A short right from King.
Sanchez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
King fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sanchez misses with a punch on the inside.
Sanchez tries to break free but King pushes him back against the cage.
Sanchez is trying to break free.
King tries to throw a body punch but Sanchez avoids it by throwing King back against the cage.
Sanchez blocks an uppercut.
King tries a body shot but Sanchez blocks it.
King stalling the fight.
Sanchez lands with a short punch from the clinch.
King trying to control the position but instead, Sanchez has worked for underhooks and has pushed King into the cage.
King doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sanchez tries to work over King's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
King cracks Sanchez with a nice body shot.
Sanchez swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sanchez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Sanchez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sanchez misses with a wild body shot.
King takes a body punch but keeps moving.

King is looking to clinch.
King takes a shot to the body in his stride.
King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sanchez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
King throws a lazy right hand but Sanchez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
King moves to clinch but Sanchez breaks away
and Sanchez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sanchez lands a right hook to the body.
Sanchez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez thows a body shot but no joy.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
King avoids the body shot from Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a right hand
and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
King jabs at Sanchez's body.
King swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sanchez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and King takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sanchez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Sanchez cracks King with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


King is rocked!
King throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sanchez counters with a nice uppercut.

King swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sanchez counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Sanchez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
King is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanchez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. King looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sanchez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sanchez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sanchez lands a nice shot to the body.
King on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
King misses with an uppercut
and Sanchez counters with a nice uppercut.
Sanchez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanchez throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
King throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.
King tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Sanchez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sanchez in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Sanchez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. King looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sanchez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. King is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sanchez lets go of the hold and King can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Raul Sanchez!
