Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charmicheal moves to clinch but Jones breaks away
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Charmicheal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Charmicheal loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Charmicheal looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.
Charmicheal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jones cracks Charmicheal with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Charmicheal controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Charmicheal is keeping the position for now.

Charmicheal has momentary wrist control but Jones slips an elbow through the middle.
Jones stays in close to Charmicheal's body and controls the position.
Jones passes Charmicheal's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Charmicheal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Charmicheal has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jones moves nicely into side control.
Jones lands a few punches from side control.
Charmicheal on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Charmicheal looks to move to half guard but instead Jones has passed into mount! Damn!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones avoids the attempt from Charmicheal to control.
Charmicheal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee warns Charmicheal that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Charmicheal is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at James Charmicheal's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
