Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Brainer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammad Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brainer shoots and misses
and Barnes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barnes closes the distance and pushes Brainer back into the cage.

Brainer is looking to improve his position but Barnes isn't that keen on the idea.

It looks like Barnes might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Brainer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brainer tries to get out of the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Barnes lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Brainer .
Barnes is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Brainer can't fight it off and eventually Barnes manages to take the fight to the floor. Brainer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Let's hope that Barnes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Brainer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Brainer gets tackled into the cage by Barnes. Barnes maintains the clinch.
Barnes has Brainer pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Barnes pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Brainer tumbling to the mat - Barnes dives into Brainer 's guard.

Well, if Barnes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

and Barnes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brainer won't be happy with that.
