The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain tries to clinch there but Holcomb circles away.
Holcomb scores with a nice strike.

It looks like Jason Cain has been cut.
Cain defending well as Holcomb loads up on a big left hand.
Holcomb throws a hook but Cain blocks it.
Cain shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Holcomb lands with a right hand.
Holcomb takes a swing at Cain's ribcage but misses.
Holcomb lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Holcomb rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Cain counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cain looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Cain throwing strikes but missing.
Cain wants to pass the guard but Holcomb is keeping the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Jason Cain wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Holcomb cracks Cain with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cain gets the takedown into side control.
Cain working the ground and pound but Holcomb is defending the strikes.
Cain in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Holcomb is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Holcomb's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Holcomb tries to improve position but can't.
Cain throws an elbow but Holcomb slips to the side and avoids it well.
Holcomb really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Cain decides to stand up, so the ref orders Holcomb to his feet.
Holcomb lands with an overhand left.

Jason Cain's cut is getting worse.
Holcomb will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cain manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Holcomb on his heels. He'll look to pass Holcomb's guard now, I'm sure.
Holcomb trying to keep a closed guard but Cain is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cain is stalling in the full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Holcomb ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cain moves away.
Cain throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Harvey Holcomb has been cut.

Cain closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cain is taking a breather. Holcomb says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cain is looking to advance position but Holcomb won't allow it.

Cain wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Holcomb uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Cain throwing strikes from guard but Holcomb blocks nicely.
Holcomb is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Cain stands up from Holcomb's guard - Cain perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cain shoots in looking for a takedown. Holcomb tries to sprawl out of it but Cain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holcomb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Holcomb scores with a jab to the body.
Holcomb connects with a single shot there.
Holcomb is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jason Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cain is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jason Cain's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Holcomb bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cain's head backwards.

Jeez, Jason Cain's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jason Cain's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
