The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avelyan misses with a right hand
and Anelka counters with a left and a right that stings Avelyan.
Avelyan tries a head kick but it misses.
Avelyan misses with a straight right.
Avelyan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Jacob Anelka has been cut.
Avelyan drops his shoulder and cracks Anelka with a huge uppercut! Anelka goes down! Can Avelyan finish him?
Anelka looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Avelyan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Avelyan gets to his feet and stands over Anelka, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Anelka felt that one! Avelyan unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Anelka from any more punishment!
