PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Death Before Dishonor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lupe Fiasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fiasco has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Lupe Fiasco is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Death Before Dishonor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lupe Fiasco!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dishonor moves out of range of the body kick.
Fiasco connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Dishonor avoids the body shot from Fiasco.

Dishonor moves into the clinch.
Fiasco gets underhooks to prevent Dishonor's takedown attempt.
Fiasco fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fiasco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dishonor smiles and moves away.
Dishonor dodges the punch combination from Fiasco.
Fiasco throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dishonor.


It looks like Death Before Dishonor has been cut.
Fiasco looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fiasco changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fiasco throws a right and a left that both miss.

Dishonor has closed the distance and engaged Fiasco in a clinch.

Dishonor gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dishonor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fiasco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dishonor advances to half guard.
Fiasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dishonor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dishonor not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dishonor lands strikes from half guard.
Dishonor works his way into side control.
Dishonor is chipping away with strikes.
Fiasco defending against the ground and pound.

Dishonor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dishonor is working Fiasco over with some ground and pound from side control.
Dishonor prevents Fiasco from escaping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dishonor is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fiasco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dishonor throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Fiasco taking a bit of punishment here - Dishonor scoring with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fiasco is not content to let Dishonor control the position.
Dishonor has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Fiasco!

Fiasco wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Dishonor with a couple of short strikes.
Dishonor cracks Fiasco with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Dishonor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fiasco is looking to escape.
Fiasco wants to get back to his feet.
Dishonor controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dishonor raining down shots from the mount!
Dishonor working the ground and pound effectively.
Dishonor putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Dishonor with shots to the head and body - Fiasco looks very uncomfortable down there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fiasco is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Dishonor looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Death Before Dishonor will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Death Before Dishonor's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Dishonor has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fiasco wants to get back to striking at distance but Dishonor won't allow it.
Dishonor could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dishonor decides to pull guard.

Dishonor has his foot on Fiasco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fiasco works his way back into a safe position though.

Fiasco is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dishonor has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fiasco is looking to defend but Dishonor has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fiasco! Dishonor pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fiasco taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Death Before Dishonor!
