The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorghth circles away from the clinch attempt
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Lorghth stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lorghth wants it to stay on the feet.
Nye scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Lorghth makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Lorghth gets tackled into the cage by Nye. Nye maintains the clinch.
Lorghth tries to break free but Nye pushes him back against the cage.
Nye swings wildly with an uppercut but Lorghth uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Nye counters with a shoot takedown. Lorghth fights it but they end up in guard.

Nye fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lorghth avoids it really well and circles away.

and Nye counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nye.

Lorghth wants to get back to his feet but Nye is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Nye lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lorghth circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lorghth jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nye walks away with a smile on his face. Lorghth gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nye jumps guard but Lorghth stands there with Nye around his waist. Nye gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
