Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Rykov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leffe Fotled (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leffe Fotled!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rykov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fotled's waist but Fotled gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rykov off to one side.

and Fotled makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Rykov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rykov is leaning against Fotled and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rykov has picked Fotled up - he's going for a ride! Rykov dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Rykov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fotled keeps working.

Fotled is looking for a sweep. Rykov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fotled is trying to maintain the position but Rykov is very close to passing his half guard.
Rykov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fotled's head.
Fotled has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rykov is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fotled is looking for the choke from the back position but Rykov is controlling his hands well.
Fotled is not going to allow Rykov to sit and survive in this position.
Fotled doesn't have the hooks in and Rykov manages to turn into his guard.

Fotled sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rykov is looking to take a break and control but Fotled is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fotled tries to lock up and control but Rykov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fotled is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rykov needs to keep his hands up - Fotled had a free shot at his head there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rykov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alexey Rykov.
Fotled shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rykov eats them both and turns towards Fotled to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Rykov counters with a crisp one two that drops Fotled! Rykov thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fotled to his feet! Fotled is in big trouble!

and Rykov counters with a big right hand! Oh Fotled is in trouble here! Rykov follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
