Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Encarnacao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikai Arcisais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Encarnacao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikai Arcisais!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arcisais misses with the combination.

Encarnacao shoots in and gets a takedown into Arcisais's guard.
Arcisais can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Encarnacao controls the pace.
Encarnacao with a nice head shot there.
Encarnacao wants to control from the top but Arcisais keeps moving.

Encarnacao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arcisais swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Encarnacao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arcisais on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Encarnacao wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Encarnacao counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Encarnacao has hold of Arcisais's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Arcisais manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Encarnacao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Arcisais sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Encarnacao looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Encarnacao moves nicely into side control.

Encarnacao tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Encarnacao has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Arcisais manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Arcisais wants to sweep but Encarnacao has passed to side control!

Encarnacao is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Arcisais has escaped the position, nice work there.
Encarnacao is chipping away with strikes.
Arcisais tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Encarnacao presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Arcisais is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arcisais in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Encarnacao wants to control the pace but Arcisais is squirming around nicely.

Encarnacao working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Arcisais bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Encarnacao is pulling down on Arcisais's head. It's preventing any offense from Arcisais, at least for the moment.

Arcisais drops back, looking for a kneebar! Encarnacao looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Encarnacao looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Encarnacao!

The referee asks Encarnacao politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Encarnacao prefers to stall for the moment though.
Arcisais tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Encarnacao presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Encarnacao working for a guillotine from mount but Arcisais is in no mood to give up.
Arcisais is desperately trying to improve his position but Encarnacao has a good base and remains in mount.
Arcisais is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Encarnacao looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arcisais is fending him off so far but Encarnacao persists. Nope, Arcisais circles away and we're back to standing.
Arcisais pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Arcisais. Those never looked like landing.
Mikai Arcisais seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Encarnacao shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Arcisais napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Encarnacao tries to move to mount but Arcisais blocks the move with his legs.
Encarnacao is working Arcisais over with some ground and pound from side control.
Encarnacao remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Encarnacao takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Encarnacao shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Encarnacao was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Arcisais takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Encarnacao doesn't have the hooks in and Arcisais manages to turn into his guard.

Arcisais postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Encarnacao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Arcisais, into his guard.

Arcisais has his foot on Encarnacao's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Encarnacao works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

BOOM! Encarnacao connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Mikai Arcisais has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Encarnacao has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee warns Arcisais that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Encarnacao showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Encarnacao, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
