PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Sczastliwyj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Referee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sczastliwyj kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Разом нас баxam. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Referee misses with a leg kick
and Sczastliwyj counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sczastliwyj works over Referee's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Simon Referee has been cut.
No joy there for Referee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Referee crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sczastliwyj - the referee stops the clock and Referee gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sczastliwyj. Referee manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Referee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sczastliwyj avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Referee.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Referee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Referee is pressing down on Sczastliwyj's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sczastliwyj is holding on for now.
Referee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sczastliwyj's head.
