Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kaplan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tenderness by General Public. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies shoots and misses
and Kaplan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kaplan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Davies is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kaplan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kaplan tries to get out of the position.
Davies wants to control but Kaplan is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davies throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kaplan is looking to improve his position but Davies isn't that keen on the idea.

Davies is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kaplan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kaplan has left one of his arms exposed and Davies doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kaplan screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
