The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
von Goethe swings widly with a right hand

and Stavrov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stavrov wants to pass the guard but von Goethe is keeping the position.
Stavrov controlling from the top position.
Stavrov throwing strikes from guard but von Goethe blocks nicely.
Stavrov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
von Goethe wants to get back to his feet but Stavrov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

von Goethe is sitting in close to Stavrov's body. Stavrov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! von Goethe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, von Goethe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Stavrov.
