The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uchimata is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saibot is just riding it out for now. Uchimata eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Uchimata seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Saibot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Saibot pushes down on Uchimata's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Uchimata tries to roll over but Saibot keeps him under control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
