Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Chokespear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sgt Parrotface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William Chokespear has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, William Chokespear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sgt Parrotface!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parrotface tries to sprawl but Chokespear drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Parrotface tries to roll over but Chokespear keeps him under control.

Chokespear is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Parrotface looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Parrotface is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chokespear pulls his head out easily.
Parrotface is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Parrotface has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Chokespear escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Chokespear!
Parrotface regains half guard.
Chokespear thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Parrotface to regain full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parrotface is on top in guard.
Chokespear controls Parrotface momentarily but Parrotface frees himself.
Parrotface pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chokespear is keeping the position for now.

Parrotface has gone for a leg lock! Chokespear slips out almost immediately though and dives into Parrotface's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that William Chokespear will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Parrotface tries to clinch up but Chokespear circles away and keeps his distance.

Chokespear doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Parrotface counters with a single leg into guard. Chokespear didn't expect that.
Chokespear wants to sweep here but Parrotface controlling him for the moment.
Parrotface tries to free his leg and advance position but Chokespear is retaining full guard.

Chokespear throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Parrotface escapes and throws Chokespear's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Parrotface trying to control the position but Chokespear is working away.
Parrotface is trying to ground and pound but Chokespear uses the momentary lack of control by Parrotface to regain half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Parrotface passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Parrotface wants to control but Chokespear is keeping him busy.
Chokespear is trying to control Parrotface's posture but Parrotface avoids it.

Parrotface throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Chokespear works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Parrotface is trying to control the action in half guard but Chokespear is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Parrotface is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chokespear doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Parrotface.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Parrotface is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chokespear has managed to free his arm - good work.
Chokespear is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Parrotface's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Parrotface's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sgt Parrotface showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Chokespear gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Parrotface counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parrotface trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Parrotface postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chokespear avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Parrotface trying to control the position from guard on top but Chokespear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Parrotface wants to pass the guard but Chokespear is keeping the position.
Parrotface forces his way into half guard.

Chokespear moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Parrotface looking to sit in guard and control but Chokespear gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Parrotface working for submissions but it's allowed Chokespear to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Chokespear throws a big right hand that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Chokespear postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Parrotface is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chokespear, into his guard.

Parrotface drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Chokespear dives on top into guard.

Parrotface is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chokespear defends well.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Parrotface working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chokespear doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chokespear manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Parrotface takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Chokespear is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Parrotface is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Parrotface has escaped and now he's on top!

And that's the end of the fight!
Sgt Parrotface comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Parrotface has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
