Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Macku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Richard Cranium!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cranium throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Macku counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Macku misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cranium shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macku actively working from the bottom here.
Cranium is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Macku gets back to full guard.
Cranium really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macku. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cranium would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cranium is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Cranium throws a strike but Macku rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Macku passes into half guard.
Well, if Macku is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Macku works his way into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Macku tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cranium's legs.
Macku has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Cranium!
Cranium wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Macku has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Cranium taps furiously! This one is all over!
