Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wally Wechsel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wechsel has chosen Faith No More - The Morning After as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frankie Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wally Wechsel!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wechsel. Wechsel circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ray scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ray tries to work over Wechsel's front leg with a kick but Wechsel checks it.
Wechsel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ray.
Ray misses with a right hand
and Wechsel counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Ray throws a right hand that Wechsel ducks under and follows up with a left that Wechsel also avoids with ease.

Wechsel feints and as Ray raises his hands in defense, Wechsel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wechsel wants to control from the top but Ray keeps moving.
Ray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wechsel's guard.
Wechsel is controlling Ray's posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ray stands up over Wechsel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ray trying to control but Wechsel is working from the bottom.
Wechsel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wechsel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wechsel pulls Ray in close to his closed guard and prevents Ray from doing any damage or advancing position.
Ray trying to control but Wechsel is working from the bottom.
Ray advances to half guard.

Ray passes to side control.
Wechsel defending against the ground and pound.
Ray scoring with punches and elbows.
Ray blocks the strikes from Wechsel.
Ray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ray landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Ray lands an elbow.
Ray postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Wechsel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Wechsel trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Ray manages to pass to mount!
Ray looking to finish Wechsel with some ground and pound. This is bad for Wechsel!

Ray lands a heavy elbow.

It looks like Wally Wechsel has been cut.
Ray lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Wechsel is desperately trying to improve his position but Ray has a good base and remains in mount.
Ray pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Wechsel is rocked!
Ray postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Wechsel badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Ray around the waist but Ray pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Ray is the winner by TKO! Ray jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frankie Ray!
