Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dj Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Dingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dingo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Carl Orff - O Fortuna . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dj Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Dingo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dingo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dingo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dingo throws a predictable looking body shot

and Nelson counters by moving into the clinch.

Dingo lands a takedown into guard.
Nelson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dingo is one step ahead there.
Dingo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Nelson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Dingo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Dingo throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Nelson counters with a single leg into guard. Dingo didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dingo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nelson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Nelson wants to control from the top but Dingo keeps moving.

Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dingo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dj Nelson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dingo swings for the body but Nelson moves out of range.

and Dingo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nelson needs to keep his hands up - Dingo had a free shot at his head there.
Dingo throws out a loose jab but Nelson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nelson looks to land a body kick but Dingo moved away.
Dingo dives in and grabs Nelson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes down on Dingo's head and hops out.

Dingo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nelson's half guard.

Dingo is looking to take a break and control but Nelson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dingo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Nelson - that will leave a mark!

and Nelson counters with a one-two to the body.

Dingo lands with a cross.
Dingo looks to throw a body kick

and Nelson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dingo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Dingo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dingo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Dingo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nelson misses with a wild combination.
Dingo swings away with a body shot that misses
and Nelson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Dingo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nelson tries to clinch up but Dingo circles away and keeps his distance.
Dingo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nelson was well out of range. Poor timing from Dingo.
Dingo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Nelson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nelson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dingo misses with a left hand

and Nelson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nelson.
Nelson wanted to stand there but Dingo had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Nelson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dingo lands with an uppercut that bounces Nelson off the cage and back into rage.
Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Dingo tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dingo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dj Nelson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dingo tries to bum rush Nelson with a series of wild strikes but Nelson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nelson rushes Dingo and presses him up against the cage.

Dingo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dingo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nelson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown but Dingo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nelson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nelson wants to clinch.
Dingo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nelson counters with a stiff right hand.
Nelson takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Dingo throws a sloppy body shot

and Nelson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Dingo is trying to push Nelson away but Nelson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nelson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Dingo.
Nelson is trying to drag Dingo to the mat but Dingo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dj Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nelson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dingo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dingo tries for a takedown but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Dingo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nelson is defending well though. Dingo let's go of the attempt for now.

A close second round but Matt Dingo will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Nelson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Dingo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nelson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nelson is staying active underneath Dingo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Matt Dingo has got the better of the ground game so far.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nelson tries to roll over but Dingo keeps him under control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Dingo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Nelson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Dingo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Dingo lunges at Nelson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nelson's hand.

Nelson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dingo did well to prevent Nelson getting side control.

Dingo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Nelson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dingo is trying to control the position but Nelson postures up.
Dingo has control of Nelson's left arm, preventing Nelson from doing any damage.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Matt Dingo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Nice uppercut lands for Dingo. That snapped Nelson's head back.

Dingo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nelson is looking to control Dingo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nelson avoid being mounted?
Nelson is refusing to be controlled, as Dingo sits in half guard.

Matt Dingo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dingo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
