The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ones dives in and grabs Covers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Covers pushes down on Ones's head and hops out.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Covers lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Covers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ones prevents it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Covers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Covers stuffs the takedown.
Covers misses with a lunging right hand
and Ones counters with a left and a right that stings Covers.
Covers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ones.
Dusty Covers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Ones.
Covers connects with the punch.

Ones moves to clinch but Covers breaks away

and Covers counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Covers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Covers misses with a low kick.

Covers clinches.

Covers manages to break the clinch.
Covers scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ones in his tracks.
Ones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Covers.
Dusty Covers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Covers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Covers avoids it really well and circles away.
Covers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ones.
Covers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Covers misses with an uppercut. Ones saw that one coming.
Covers rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Covers.

Covers gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Covers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ones wants to clinch but Covers slips to the side
and Covers counters with a left right combination that sends Ones crashing to the mat - Covers wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Ones out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
