The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a series of punches but The Ripper avoids them all with ease.
Mark Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coleman closes the distance looking to clinch
and The Ripper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by The Ripper.
The Ripper drops back looking for a leg! Coleman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Coleman manages to kick The Ripper off! The Ripper jumps back into Coleman's guard.
Coleman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Coleman wants to stand up but The Ripper is controlling him.

It looks like Mark Coleman has been cut.
The Ripper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The Ripper gets to his feet and stands over Coleman, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Coleman felt that one! The Ripper unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Coleman from any more punishment!
