Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gruffo Muffo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gogo Momo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Momo has chosen Miles Davis - Moon Dreams as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Momo blocks the body kick.
Muffo throws a looping overhand right but Momo ducks down to avoid it.
Momo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Muffo sprawls well. Muffo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Momo gets slowly back to his feet.
Muffo throws a nice head kick!
A slapping leg kick lands for Muffo.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Momo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Momo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Muffo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Momo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Momo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Muffo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Momo really felt that one!

Muffo misses with an uppercut. Momo saw that one coming.

Momo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Momo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Muffo doesn't manage to clinch there - Momo circles away.
Muffo throws a head kick that Momo semi-blocks.
Momo keeps the fight on the outside.

and Muffo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Momo is lucky that one didn't land flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
