The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brady tries to clinch but Hellwig moves away

and Hellwig counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hellwig drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hellwig jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brady is looking for a triangle but Hellwig pushes his legs off easily.

Brady is working an open guard so Hellwig takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hellwig drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brady gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hellwig has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brady regains guard immediately.

Brady wants to sweep but no luck.

Hellwig drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brady looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brady looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brady!

Hellwig is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brady has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hellwig dodges the ground and pound from Brady.
Brady wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hellwig keeps working.
Brady tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hellwig's legs.

Brady tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Brady stands up and we're back to a striking position.

and Hellwig decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brady's guard.

Hellwig wants to control from the top but Brady keeps moving.

Brady escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hellwig gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hellwig shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brady is trying to defend but Hellwig finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hellwig is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brady is just riding it out for now. Hellwig eventually gives up the hold.

Hellwig seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brady is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
