The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch but Biggins moves away
and Biggins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Biggins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Biggins fails to pull guard.
Smith content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Biggins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Biggins blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Smith tries to land a knee to the head but Biggins blocks with his arms.

Smith unloads a knee to the mid-section. Biggins lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Smith lands an elbow that stopped Biggins in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Nixon Biggins has been cut.

Smith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Smith lands a left hand that snaps the head of Biggins backwards.
Smith with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
That has opened up Nixon Biggins's cut even more.
Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Biggins on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Smith using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Biggins has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Biggins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jordan Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nixon Biggins.
Smith lands an elbow inside.
Smith lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The cut above Nixon Biggins's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Biggins takes an elbow to the forehead.
Nixon Biggins's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Smith throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Biggins blocks it with crossed arms.

Smith gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nixon Biggins's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
