These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diprose fails in his attempt to clinch.
Edwards throws a front kick that sends Diprose stumbling back into the cage.

Diprose shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Edwards is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Edwards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diprose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diprose passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Edwards!
Edwards is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Edwards tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Diprose connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Edwards tries to lock up and control but Diprose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diprose can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Edwards is looking to escape.
Diprose postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Edwards looks a forlorn figure.
