Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mahti Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Revis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mahti Sonni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Revis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Revis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sonni counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sonni. Revis does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sonni closes the distance and pushes Revis back into the cage.

Sonni escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Revis defending well as Sonni loads up on a big left hand.

Sonni gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sonni tightens his grip and picks Revis up, before dumping him to the ground. Revis manages to land in guard.
Revis has momentary wrist control but Sonni slips an elbow through the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sonni is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Revis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sonni slips nicely into half guard.
Revis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sonni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Revis is looking to improve his position.
Sonni looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Revis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sonni connects with a nice short shot to Revis's temple.
Sonni lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Revis is staying active underneath Sonni, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sonni is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Sonni has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sonni cracks Revis with a big right hand but Revis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
