Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Starim Stal Overdreem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overdreem has chosen Motorhead-Iron Fist as his entrance music. Billy Holmes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Overdreem moves into the clinch.

Overdreem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A combination from Holmes does no damage.
Starim Stal Overdreem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Overdreem rushes Holmes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Holmes tries to stall but Overdreem uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Overdreem breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Overdreem tries to close the distance and clinch but Holmes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Holmes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Overdreem tries to avoid it but Holmes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Overdreem to the ground. Overdreem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Overdreem moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Holmes moves out of range as Overdreem throws a body kick.
Overdreem throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Billy Holmes has been cut.

Overdreem clinches with his opponent.

Overdreem lands a big head kick that sends Holmes tumbling to the mat! Overdreem takes a step backwards and waves Holmes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Holmes looks for a takedown but Overdreem sprawls well.
Overdreem scores with a kick to the midsection.
Holmes is breathing heavily.

Overdreem is struggling to control the position.
Holmes fails to pull the fight into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holmes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Overdreem kicks Holmes off and gets to his feet.
Holmes swats away the attempt to clinch by Overdreem.
Holmes blocks a head kick by Overdreem.
Holmes wants to clinch up but Overdreem keeps it at a distance.

Overdreem lands a slapping body shot.

Overdreem clinches up with Holmes and pushes him back against the cage.

Overdreem manages to break the clinch.
Overdreem is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Holmes fails with the takedown.
Overdreem tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holmes was well out of range. Poor timing from Overdreem.
Overdreem swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Holmes.

Overdreem breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Overdreem misses with a jab to the body

and Holmes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Overdreem won't be happy with that.
Holmes working the ground and pound but Overdreem is defending the strikes.
Overdreem pushes Holmes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Holmes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Overdreem prevents Holmes from improving position.

Overdreem throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Holmes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Overdreem as he avoids it easily.
Holmes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Overdreem's waist but Overdreem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holmes off to one side.
Overdreem fakes the leg kick and cracks Holmes in the body.
Overdreem lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Overdreem counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Holmes! He's just covering up as Overdreem starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
