Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Subbotin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilya Orlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Subbotin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Orlov defends it nicely.
Subbotin avoids the head kick by Orlov.
Orlov tries a head kick but it misses.
Orlov gets caught flat footed, as Subbotin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Subbotin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Subbotin.
Subbotin is trying to force a seperation but Orlov has the dominant position.
Orlov pulls guard effortlessly.
Orlov controls Subbotin momentarily but Subbotin frees himself.
Subbotin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Orlov, up you get!

Subbotin looks up at the clock and then as Orlov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Subbotin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Subbotin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Orlov keeps working.

and Subbotin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Vladimir Subbotin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Subbotin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Orlov is just riding it out for now. Subbotin eventually gives up the hold.
Orlov wants to control but Subbotin is keeping busy.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Orlov lands a glancing blow to the side of Subbotin's head.
Subbotin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Subbotin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orlov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orlov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orlov!

Subbotin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Orlov thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Subbotin to regain full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Subbotin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Orlov won't allow Subbotin to get back to his feet.
Orlov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Subbotin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Orlov manages to get himself to full guard.
Orlov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Orlov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Orlov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Subbotin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Orlov circles away.

I would just about give that final round to Ilya Orlov.
