The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiths with a lazy takedown attempt
and Selhorst connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smiths has his takedown stuffed
and Selhorst counters with a nice uppercut.
Selhorst connects with a single shot there.
Otavio Smiths seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Smiths checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Selhorst lands a glancing blow to the side of Smiths's head.
Smiths has his takedown stuffed
and Selhorst counters with a leg kick.

Selhorst throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smiths stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Selhorst's corner calls for a 1-2. Selhorst obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Selhorst fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smiths has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Selhorst punishes Smiths's body with a nice straight punch.

Selhorst comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Selhorst counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Smiths! He's just covering up as Selhorst starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
