The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Eriksson throws a sloppy head kick and Huhtis moves out of range easily.
Jarppi Huhtis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eriksson is looking to clinch.
Eriksson lands a jab to the head.
Huhtis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Huhtis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Eriksson throws a head kick that misses.
Eriksson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Eriksson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Huhtis but Huhtis pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Huhtis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Huhtis lands a big shot there that rocks Eriksson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
