Hossilli's entrance music is It's a Fight. A fine choice. Anthony Williamson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson misses with an uppercut
and Hossilli counters with a nice low kick that buckles Williamson's knee momentarily.

Hossilli is trying to drag Williamson to the mat but Williamson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hossilli has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Anthony Williamson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Williamson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hossilli really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Williamson cracks Hossilli with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Williamson, as that shot connected.

Hossilli takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Williamson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hossilli had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Williamson pushes Hossilli away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hossilli gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williamson can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Williamson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hossilli feints a jab promting Williamson to slip. Hossilli then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Williamson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hossilli manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Hossilli will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Williamson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well Hossilli has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
