Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh has chosen Iron Lion Zion - Bob Marley as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Morrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sunny Singh!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Singh.
Singh with a nice cross.
Singh looks to land a body kick but Morrison moved away.
Singh tries to close the distance and clinch but Morrison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Singh throws a head kick that misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Singh. That's going to slow Morrison down.
Morrison shoots in for a double leg but Singh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Morrison gets caught napping as Singh dives in and scores a takedown. Morrison manages to retain guard.

Morrison is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Singh defends well.

Singh gets to his feet - Morrison follows without any prompting.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morrison takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Singh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morrison, pushing him back against the cage.

Singh prevents a takedown attempt there.
Singh avoids a wild elbow strike from Morrison.

Singh moves into range and clinches up with Morrison.

Singh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Morrison throws a chopping leg kick but Singh manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Singh lands a nice shot to the body.
Morrison is breathing heavily.

Singh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morrison did well to prevent Singh getting side control.

Singh is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Singh postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Morrison to stand up.
Singh comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Morrison misses with a takedown

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morrison won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Singh misses with a series of wild punches.

Singh shoots in and bounces Morrison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Morrison is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Singh tries to stand but Morrison is controlling from the bottom.

Morrison is working an open guard so Singh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Singh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Singh lands with a nice combination. Morrison backs away looking to recover.

Singh is looking to stand up but Morrison isn't so interested in that idea.

Morrison thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sunny Singh dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Singh throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Morrison's head.

Morrison shoots in looking for a takedown but Singh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Morrison's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Singh delivers a nice body kick.
Singh throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sunny Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Singh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Morrison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Singh throws Morrison to one side and escapes!
Morrison doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Singh counters with a big head kick but Morrison shrugs it off.
Singh throws a head kick that half lands.

Singh motions for Morrison to come forward. Singh throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Singh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Singh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Singh thuds his shin into the meat of Morrison's side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No joy there for Singh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Singh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Singh lands with a kick to the temple. Morrison shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Some wild striking there from Singh.
Singh throws a sloppy head kick and Morrison moves out of range easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Singh. Morrison does a little dance to reset his feet.

Singh is looking to clinch.
Morrison has his takedown stuffed
and Singh counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Morrison. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Singh wants to clinch up but Morrison keeps it at a distance.

Singh rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morrison moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Morrison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Singh sprawls well. Singh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morrison gets slowly back to his feet.
Sunny Singh seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Singh tries to clinch there but Morrison circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Morrison keeps control of Singh as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Morrison decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Singh's guard.
Singh wants to stand and escape but Morrison is having none of it.

Singh throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Morrison drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Morrison looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Singh is avoiding damage well.

The ground and pound from Morrison seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Morrison in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Singh is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
