Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marley Sabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sabu comes to the cage accompanied by pure hatred. Hunter has chosen Dance Monkey -Sage Francis as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Matt Hunter enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sabu misses with a two punch combination.
A head kick by Sabu misses
and Hunter counters with a nice body kick.
A combination from Hunter does no damage.
Hunter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sabu misses with a low kick as Hunter jumps back.
Hunter swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sabu stops a takedown attempt from Hunter.
Hunter works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Matt Hunter wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hunter tries to clinch up but Sabu circles away and keeps his distance.

and Hunter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sabu!

Sabu wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hunter.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sabu regains half guard.
Hunter is looking to pass Sabu's guard but actually Sabu recovers to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sabu striking off his back but it's not causing Hunter any problems.

Sabu is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Hunter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sabu is looking to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Hunter was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sabu gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Hunter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sabu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sabu wants to pass the guard but Hunter is defending well.
Sabu moves nicely into side control.
Hunter parries the strikes from Sabu easily there. Sabu is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hunter to escape.
Sabu tries to advance to mount but Hunter denies him.

Matt Hunter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sabu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marley Sabu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sabu pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hunter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sabu.
Sabu throws a series of punches but Hunter moves out of range.
Hunter rushes Sabu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hunter is pressed up against the cage. Sabu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hunter down to the mat. Hunter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sabu throws the kick towards the body but Hunter avoids it.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sabu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sabu tries to bum rush Hunter with a series of wild strikes but Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sabu throws a left and a right that both miss
so Hunter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sabu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there.
Hunter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hunter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sabu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sabu throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hunter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sabu throws a body kick that misses.
Marley Sabu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sabu's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sabu duly obliges.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sabu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sabu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marley Sabu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sabu misses with a head kick.

and Hunter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sabu won't be happy with that.

Sabu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hunter's best efforts.
Hunter prevents Sabu from improving his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sabu tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Matt Hunter has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Hunter avoids the head kick by Sabu.

Matt Hunter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sabu throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease.

Well Hunter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
