The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leary tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vellmot counters with a nice uppercut.
Vellmot scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Vellmot throws a looping overhand right but Leary ducks down to avoid it.
Leary swings widly with a right hand
and Vellmot counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fergal Leary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Vellmot counters with a two punch combo.
Vellmot throws a hook but Leary blocks it.
Leary is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Leary doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Vellmot. Leary does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vellmot scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Leary takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Leary uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vellmot.

and Vellmot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Vellmot counters with a nice uppercut.

Leary rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Vellmot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oh Leary is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vellmot lands a lovely overhand right.
Vellmot takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Leary takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Leary takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vellmot throws a shot to the body.
Leary is breathing heavily.
Vellmot scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Vellmot counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Leary thinking.
Leary takes one to the side of the head.
Leary on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Leary tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Vellmot counters with a stiff right hand.
Leary takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Leary is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Vellmot moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
