Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Mizrahi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dog's choice of entrance music: Fan of Marrizle. Donnie Mizrahi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mizrahi misses with a right hand

and Dog counters with a takedown into side control.

Dog swings around for an armbar but Mizrahi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dog's guard.

Dog has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mizrahi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dog.
Dog wants to control but Mizrahi postures up.

Dog looking for a sweep but Mizrahi has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Dog wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Mizrahi wants to control but Dog manages to buck him off and is now in Mizrahi's guard! Nice work there by Dog!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dog stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mizrahi moves to clinch but Dog breaks away
and Dog counters with a series of strikes. Mizrahi will be more careful next time no doubt.

Dog misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dog throws a combination that misses
and Mizrahi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Mizrahi counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Mizrahi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Dog tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dog tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mizrahi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mizrahi with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Dog has Mizrahi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mizrahi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Donnie Mizrahi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crazy Dog.

and Dog counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Dog shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mizrahi but Mizrahi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dog tries to control but Mizrahi wriggling away.
Dog misses with a head shot.
Mizrahi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dog on the ground.

Dog with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dog unloads with some shots from mount but Mizrahi bucks and avoids them well.

Dog goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mizrahi is on top in guard.

Dog looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mizrahi is one step ahead there.
Dog wants to stand and escape but Mizrahi is having none of it.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Dog scores a takedown into full mount!
Dog avoids the attempt from Mizrahi to control.

Dog goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mizrahi is on top in guard.

Dog wants to get back to his feet but Mizrahi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dog looking for a guillotine here but Mizrahi defends easily.

Crazy Dog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Dog counters with a shoot takedown. Mizrahi fights it but they end up in guard.

Dog looking to sit in guard and control but Mizrahi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mizrahi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Donnie Mizrahi has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dog fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mizrahi avoids it really well and circles away.
Dog shoots in looking for a takedown. Mizrahi tries to sprawl out of it but Dog keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mizrahi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dog throws a combination that misses
enabling Mizrahi to counter with a crisp jab.
Mizrahi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dog counters with a straight right hand.

and Dog counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mizrahi won't be happy with that.
Dog tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mizrahi's legs.
Mizrahi defending against the ground and pound.

Mizrahi is looking for a sweep.

Dog looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Dog throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Mizrahi works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dog passes to full mount!
Crazy Dog has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dog wants to control the pace but Mizrahi is squirming around nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dog looking to ground and pound but Mizrahi is blocking nicely.
Dog can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mizrahi is looking to escape.

Crazy Dog is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dog goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mizrahi turns into him and now he's in Dog's guard.

Crazy Dog comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
