PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Kshymensky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kshymensky is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by let it rock . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teddy Baxter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Kshymensky!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kshymensky moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Teddy Baxter has been cut.

Baxter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kshymensky can't do much from the bottom here.

Baxter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kshymensky takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kshymensky wants to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kshymensky can do anything to dispel that myth.
Baxter tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Baxter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kshymensky is trying is best to control the position here.

Baxter has Kshymensky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kshymensky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Baxter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kshymensky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Baxter throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kshymensky blocks it with crossed arms.

Kshymensky goes for a takedown attempt but Baxter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Baxter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kshymensky as he jumps to the side.

Baxter tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Baxter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kshymensky fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Baxter shoots in looking for a takedown. Kshymensky tries to sprawl out of it but Baxter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kshymensky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kshymensky has closed the distance and engaged Baxter in a clinch.

Baxter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kshymensky as he avoids it easily.

Baxter lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Horrible takedown by Baxter or perhaps it was just good defense by Kshymensky which made him look bad.
Kshymensky swats away the attempt to clinch by Baxter.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Baxter misses with a takedown attempt - Kshymensky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Baxter holds on and takes a little breather.

Well Kshymensky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
