Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Justin Textmark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Russell Bell!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Textmark needs to keep his hands up - Bell had a free shot at his head there.

Textmark fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bell sprawls well initially but Textmark persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bell manages to get to full guard.

Textmark postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Textmark is pressing down on Bell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bell is holding on for now.

Textmark is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Textmark is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Textmark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Textmark thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Textmark is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bell has escaped the position, nice work there.

Textmark is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Textmark throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Textmark is in Bell's guard.

Textmark thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Textmark drops back looking for a leg! Bell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bell manages to kick Textmark off! Textmark jumps back into Bell's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Textmark has gone for a leg lock! Bell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Textmark's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Textmark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bell has managed to get both his arms back between Textmark's legs - danger averted.
Textmark wants to improve his position but instead Bell has moved into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Textmark is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bell pulls his head out easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Bell takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bell catches Textmark with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Textmark shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Textmark takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Bell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Textmark counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Textmark connects with a right hand. Bell shakes it off.

Textmark shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Textmark was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bell bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Textmark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Textmark wants to sweep here but Bell controlling him for the moment.

Textmark controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.

Bell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Textmark is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Textmark has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bell regains guard immediately.
Russell Bell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Textmark won't allow Bell to get back to his feet.
Bell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Justin Textmark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Textmark keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bell's head.

Justin Textmark showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Textmark has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
